The CAMH-Nepal (Child and Adolescent Mental Health- Nepal, operated by CWIN-Nepal), was established in 2015 AD with the initiative of Dr Arun Raj Kunwar and in collaboration with Dr Cecilie Javo and CWIN-Nepal. With a population of around 30 million, Nepal has over 33.84 % of its people as children and adolescents. A recent large-scale epidemiological study in Nepal reported a prevalence of 19.1% of child emotional and behavioural problems (Ma J et al., 2021). With our efforts, we aim to transform lives and prioritize child and adolescent mental well-being in Nepalese society, allowing every young person to thrive.
